Well I think this year will go down in history. It is the first I can remember where I cant drink! 2012 is going to be one exciting year! I cant believe we will have our own little nugget! We are hoping for a healthy new year and winning season.

25 /26 Weeks

Coupon Crazy

So I try to use coupons all the time and with this little bundle on the way what better time to start using them! I just received 41 dollars of babys r us coupons!!! I have also somehow accumulated about 10-15 diaper and wipe coupons! Right now almost everything is on sale online and has free shipping so I have taken advantage of that also. I ordered one of those rocking/vibrating baby chairs! The best part about it is the amazing colors it is in!! Jamie was so happy when I showed him how normal looking it is! Jamie says we may need to add an addition onto the house to store all of this stuff! I disagree I think I have been smart with my purchases so far. Getting a pretty chair/rocker for the nursery is out of the question they are way to much. We are settling for one of those ugly padded wood one!

Today my plan is to go buy one of those boppy pillow thingys and a bath tub!

Home For the Holidays!

Well we made the trip to surprise our families this year. We haven't been home in over 3 years for Christmas so it was great. Of course Jamie was up at 6am to open his presents and then we were on the road back to Providence by 9. We are so thankful for all the stuff we got for Jaxon he is going to have one amazing wardrobe. It is boxing day today but they just call it the day after Christmas here. They still have great sales but I think I am over it, I dont have the will power to fight the crowds. I do have to make a trip to the grocery store and I think that will be crazy enough. Slowly but surely we are checking all of our baby stuff off the list. I will be happy to have it all bought so that I am ready and organized. I actually have so many clothes I am sending some stuff home with the next person who comes to visit us.

RUDE AWAKENING!

Well not only did I get rudely awakened by my little monster Trivette (a cold poke of the nose in my face) I got another rude awakening from the little monster in my belly kicking my bladder and practically wetting the bed. From what I hear this only gets worse. I told one of the girls on the team when it gets to the point I cant hold my bladder anymore I will most likely stop leaving the house. I feel that there is no cool way to wear a grownup diaper and I pray it doesn't come to that.

I mentioned in the last post I am 23 weeks along, I have lost some mobility already which surprises me. But putting my shoes on is getting to be a task. I don't walk as fast either it kind of bothers me.

One Week left before Christmas Break!

Christmas is coming! Jamie is getting excited like a child. He has had a rough week, lots of bumps cuts and bruises! The weather is still crazy nice here I could really get used to this. We still have all of our Christmas shopping to do. I have never waited so long in my life, I always have it done by the start of december. I have Jamie's gifts and my moms thats it! I hope we can power shop today and tomorrow! Maybe we go to the outlets. I am 23 weeks today. But I am confused my pregnancy book says that makes me 6 months? but that doesn't really correspond with my due date.(April 9th) Who knows. Marc and Andy Roy are coming down this weekend so it will be nice to have some visitors! I cant wait. On a side note I just put OJ in my cereal.

Well we have had a lazy weekend. Jamie got a crazy bad charlie horse fingers crossed thats all it is. I actually say my belly move when Jax moved it was cool. I can't believe I a almost 6 months! It is scary to believe we will have a little person that depends on us soon!!

I am slowly trying to get everything figured out for all of his paper work once he is born. It seems confusing. I just hope it doesn't hold us up at the end of the season when we want to get home. Then I have to do it all in Canada.

My next doctors appointment is just after Christmas I am not even sure what the point of these appointments are except that we get to hear the heartbeat.

Christmas Decorating

So Jamie said he was going out to get the oil changed in his car but low and behold he came home with a christmas tree! We always wait until after Dec 2 to decorate but we didn't this year sorry Jenny! But on that note HAPPY DIRTY 30 JENNY!!

When I went to unpack what I thought was a bin of all my Christmas ornaments only to find that i somehow didn't pack any of them oops! We made a trip to the dollar store and to our surprise the tree turned out amazing! The mantel is not done yet but the dogs stockings are full!

I can't believe how much baby stuff we already have. We got a pack and play we decided there is no point in a crib until we get home. Next on our list we are going to order our stroller for some reason it is way cheaper online that in the store. Jamie gets annoyed with me because I want to have everything done soon, he's not the one getting huge and I am the one who always has to put everything together!

Half Way There!

So I am now 21 weeks. We have started planning out what baby stuff we need a little better. Jamie was at babies r us for the first time and I think he was overwhelmed lol. Mom got in on Sunday so we have been out an about a lot. It has been over 60 here for the past couple of days it is amazing!!! I hope it stays like this for ever! Sorry nothing to interesting this week, oh but mom got to come to the DR with us and hear a nice strong heartbeat of 150. She teared up! Go figure.

The Ginger Debate

Well as everyone knows Jamie and I have approximately a 75% chance of having a ginger kid. We got to thinking how strange would it be for people to see us with a red head. I hope people don't thin we kidnapped someone else's child. It also got me wondering will he be a red head right way? Or will he change over time like other babies. So the count down is on to see if Jax gets grandma Patti and Bubbas red hair genetics.

Oh Baby!

So I think I have finally popped! Also Jamie felt the baby move! I made him sit there with his hand on my gut for a bit but he finally felt it!! I am pretty sure that Jax takes after me he seems lazy he only got really active after I ate a chocolate pudding!

Grandma Kate sent us a package we got it today! She did break our dress code rules but I think we can let it slide this one time.I have also been receiving a package a day lately since we found out it was a boy! I put in a huge Old Navy offer mostly maternity stuff as my pants are getting snug, but Jenny's old fat pants are great right now.

My mom is coming for a visit on the 27th!! We have a drs appoint on the 28th so maybe she will get to hear the heartbeat.

Black Friday is fast approaching and everyone on my list can expect that there present will be purchased this day. Jamie is on the road so I plan on getting up early to dominate the stores.

After a large fight with Jamie he would not model our new baby bag. Instead he ran and hid in the shower until I left him alone.

Jamie has tasked me to find a new outfit for Jax that goes with his cottage shoes for the summer. Ralph Lauren is looking very promising. Mom will he happy he will be "costal" just like the cottage decor.

Our Tuesday Night Ritual

I am sure most of you have heard that our obsession is the TV show Sons of Anarchy. Well as Cookie (karrie) and most other women who watch it watch it for the sole purpose of the main character Jax. So I ordered online the best onsie and little hat from the show. Baby Jax is going to look tough.

There is so much baby stuff out there what do we choose! I like plain no bright baby colors and weird animal themes, thats not normal to me. That would be like Jamie wearing shirts covered in prints of little hockey sticks or me wearing a shirt with a dog pattern just because thats what we like. For some reason the plain "modern" baby stuff is literally triple the price at least. I don't understand this because research shows that high contrasting colors are what are most stimulating for babies, specifically black, white and red. (But no red for us)

I have no idea how other moms picked out what they wanted. Strollers I have learned have travel systems?! Are you kidding me! Cribs have conversion kits to "grow" with your child. Do I need things like a changing table? I look back on last year when I babysat and I never once changed her diaper on a changing table I just used the bed. Do I need a diaper Genie, or can I just throw them out the sliding door and get them later. I have yet to find a good list online of all the things that I need and don't need when preparing for your baby.

Branching Out

Ok so it seems to save some time and to also save me from insanity I have decided to blog about a little bit more than just my pregnancy and living in Providence. On the topic of pregnancy though I did find a nice place that offers prenatal yoga, birthing classes, mommy and baby yoga, mommy and me classes and baby CPR. So next Tuesday night I am going to head on down to try a yoga class and see if I like it. If I enjoy myself there I am going to sign up for the mommy and me classes offered for when I am due.

Jamie has banned all things baby blue, baby yellow, light green and baby shades for Jax. I banned all things trains, animals, teddy bear prints ect. We have made some solid purchases so far but I have yet to find any baby sleepers with the feet that I like so I need to get on it. I found and amazing baby bag that is great for both Jamie and myself. The bag is a dark dark blue Armani with the amazing price tag of only $150. That is cheaper than the Coach one we wanted. To anyone who thinks that spending this much on a baby bag is crazy I have been reassured by other moms it is worth spending money on a well made bag rather than going through several crappy bags totaling up to what the expensive bag would have been anyways. ( I for sure convinced myself on that)

I did get the cutest Puma velour tracksuit today, Jax is going to look like an old man ! For some random reason I also bought baby sox , and those little mittens. The mittens I am not even sure why I need them, how are babies nails sharp aren't they soft?

So on a side note I am craving to buy a white blazer! I am not sure why and I know I cant wear it until the summer but I need it! I keep seeing so many cute outfit I ideas.

Jamie had an appearance at a pet store and brought his boyfriend Trivette. Trivette thought it was a good idea to eat things right off the shelf apparently, but on the upside he played with kids the whole time. Jamie brought home a nice surprise also dry shampoo for the dogs. I hope this helps with Trivettes stank!

I was just about to post this and out of nowhere there was this loud honking sound we don't hear it often but when big ships go through the bay they honk its kinda cool but also annoying.

Crazy Dreams!

Well last night was the first time I dreamt about the baby. Here it goes:

Jamie and I were in the OBGYN office getting our ultrasound, but they couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl. There was a leaf over it lol. So they sent us out of the room then they came and told us it was a girl.

I want to know how accurate dreams are? What do I google to find out what it means. I also actually thought today when I woke up it was Monday and we were going to the DR. Oh boy I am going crazy!!!

I'm a BOY!!!

After a much anticipated wait we found out today we are having a BOY! The Tardif genes didn't let Jamie down. The ultrasound lady asked me what I thought it was I said girl within 5 seconds of stating the ultrasound she said sorry but there is a penis!!!

I gave Jamie the heads up I would ball my eyes out no matter what we were having.Now I can let the shopping begin!!!! I pretty much have decided everything I want already. Now it is itme to give the bank cards a workout and maybe a visit from both grandmas would be nice.

After reading Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy I am going to pick up the second book she wrote for once you have your baby. She is honest and to the point and it is so reassuring that I am not the only crazy emotional lady driving their hubby insane. Oh yeah and I cry for no reason.

So Fake Bake (introduced to me by Suzy) is by far the best thing right now! My skin finally cleared up so I can use it again.

And as a side note this is mostly for Taylor. I added a pic of Jens bf Sean and his halloween costume I wish he had your address so he could have stopped by your place to scare the crap out of you. Sorry it sideways but you get the point.

Do you like Haloween!! (17 weeks)

Well halloween is upon us. We were disappointed because both of our original costume ideas were nowhere to be found so we went with what we could. Jamie is Charlie sheen, and i am minnie mouse. (I chose minnie because it was only $12) Sorry forgot pictures.

I am also 17 weeks now. It is killing us waiting until next Monday to find out the gender! Jamie says if its a boy hes playing hockey and doing karate. I am convinced that it will be a girl just to spite Jamie ( even though he says he doesn't care as long as its healthy)

Next post will be Monday afternoon hopefully with an answer if its a boy or girl but with our luck we will only see a bum!

Dilemma !

So I am having a bit of a dilemma. The doctor recommended that I have a flu shot he says it helps the chances that the baby doesn't get sick once they are born. I however am against getting the flu shot. Jamie says he is making me have it lol. So whats everyones opinion on this ? Did any one get it did anyone not get it? HELP!

16 Weeks!

So this weekend we had visitors again which I love. Jamies dad and uncle came to visit! We mastered building a fire in our fire place thanks to the king. Jamies skills were lacking who knew you had to warm up the flume/ chimney. Jamies team got 5 out of 6 points this weekend, so thats made things cheerier around here. I had my first appointment with the OBGYN and he was amazing! He was so nice and is really hands on he explained alot of stuff to us that the drs back home just leave out. We FINALY got to hear the hb and it was 140 bpm. Jamie has been googling the wives tales to see if it is a boy or girl and 140 heart rate is supposed to mean a boy. In two weeks, Nov 7th, we get to find out if baby Tardif is a boy or a girl. I have still not popped yet but i am ok with that because the longer I can sleep on my belly the better. Oh and for anyone who is worried about Jamie because he missed Sundays game he is fine he just felt a little off.

I promised Jamie I wouldn't buy any baby things until we find out if we are having a boy or a

girl but i have found some amazing things online it is killing me. I am sure the day that we find out I will make a large online purchase!

Short but sweet

Well I am bored out of my mind sitting at the airport waiting for my delayed flight. I had a great couple of days at home but it was short and sweet. It was weird being there without any dogs. I was home because I needed to finish the second half of my IPS tests. Next week I have my first appointment with the OBGYN in Providence. I am supposedly half way through my 15th week but to our surprise when i picked up my paper work from my Canadian dr to bring to my USA dr my 12 week ultrasound was measuring big possibly making me due a week ahead of what we thought. However he/ she could just be tall like mom and dad!

Also on a side note the man who is posted at my gate looks just like the minister from I now pronounce you chuck and Larry. I am posting this on my iPad when I get home I will post some pictures but I feel to bad to take an actual picture of the man in the airport but I will try!

Opening weekend!

So it is opening weekend here in providence, also I am 14 weeks on Monday! The first game didn't go so great they lost but i had some great company! Taylor and Andrew stopped in on their way home from Boston and Ryan our neighbor from GR is here also. We ate at a great little pub in Pawtuxet village. It was called o'rourkes . Saturday night we went to an amazing seafood place called legals. Sunday's game followed in the foot steps of Fridays they still have some kinks to work out. After we ventured out downtown for dinner at a place right across from the rink called Shula's 347. It was great I am hoping it becomes our new goto after the games. I have been feeling extremely tired lately but other than that i have been feeling pretty great. Jennifer will be happy to know i am getting fat now!

Our Journey Begins

So I have decided to start a blog to keep everyone updated on the progress of our little nugget!I am due on April 9th. I am currently 13 weeks along. I wanted to make this blog for our friends and family that are far away so that you can all feel up to date on what is going on with us. We have settled into our new home in Providence Rhode Island.
